Authorities have not given a reason why Luther Jones, a pastor in Newton County, Texas, shot and killed his nephew, 34-year old Curtis Jones as he arrived at the Belgrade Baptist Church.
Luther Jones has been arrested in the killing during which at least three shots were fired.
According to 12 News, Curtis Jones had been released from prison and family members speculated that he was attending church to get himself back on track.
They also indicated that there may have been a long-standing feud between the two men.
