with desires for a job was brutally deceived and killed
On January 31, Blackpool man David Minto, 23, lured Sasha Marsden, 16, to
her death by promising her a job at his girlfriend’shotel.
According
to BBC News,
“In late January he contacted Sasha online asking if she was interested in
a part time job at the Grafton HouseHotel, even though he had no
authority to do so.”
After
sexually assaulting her, he delivered 58 knife wounds and left her body in an
alleyway; he lit the corpse on fire in an attempt to eradicate proof of his
actions.
However,
evidence was pervasive and incriminating, Marsden’s DNA being on Minto’s
clothes, hotel surfaces, and the murder weapon.
Minto is
sentenced to a minimum of 35 years in prison.
