A former Venezuelan beauty queen turned telenovela actress and her husband were shot and killed while sitting in their car in what authorities believe was a robbery.
According to a New York NBC 4 story, Monica Spear, 29. and her husband, Thomas Henry Berry, 49, were found dead in their car on the side of a road in Venezuela late Monday. Police say armed robbers attacked them when they pulled over because of car trouble.
The couple's 5-year-old child was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries, the story says.
According to the Associated Press, the family lived in the United States and was on vacation.
